In what has become a December tradition here at Pablo Torre Finds Out, I successfully deceived actor and standup comedian and Daily Show correspondent Ronny Chieng into visiting our studio.
I’ve known Ronny for years now, but he didn’t have any idea what I wanted to discuss — the only pretext was his feud with the Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz, which I briefly (unilaterally) dragged him back into. But early in this conversation I was reminded of something that I’d been meaning to find out about:
Whatever happened to the TV pilot Ronny starred in, where the premise was that his character got hired as the general manager of the Brooklyn Nets?
(And did whatever-happened happen because I had a cameo in it?)
Also: Free Darko; writing; Tom Brady vs. Daniel Dae Kim; secret marriages; jiu jitsu; David Lynch; the hierarchy of Most Fun Asians; and Buttcrack Sports.
DKN/YOUTUBE SPOILER ALERT:
Writing,
Pablo
Props to the staffer that said we should be on Substack and stuck with it. You will go far.
