EPISODE 25: It's Shakespearean. It's Freudian. It's a Greek myth with a Real Housewife. Yes, sports fans: Marcus Jordan and Larsa Pippen are getting married.

This episode is gonna be very different from the episodes you may be used to, and I wanna explain why.

There is one specific story that pretty much everyone in my life who’s not a diehard sports fan has been obsessed with. To the point that I became obsessed with it, and started asking lots of other people about it, too.

Such is the apparent, overwhelming absurdity of the impending wedding between Larsa Pippen — a Real Housewife of Miami who was married to Scottie Pippen for 24 years, until December 2021 — and Marcus Jordan: who just so happens to be Michael Jordan’s youngest son.

Because the other vital bit of context here — so vital that it’s almost unnecessary to even say — is that Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen are, you know, Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen.

The most famous and most successful duo in sports/human history… as recently chronicled in The Last Dance, ESPN’s massively popular film from 2020.

Which Scottie hated. Because of the way he felt Michael diminished him in it. To the point where Scottie proceeded to release his own autobiography, shortly after the film came out, criticizing Michael explicitly. (More on this later.)

And so now, just to recap:

Scottie Pippen’s ex-wife, the mother of his four kids, is saying she’s about to marry the son of the deity/ex-friend he’s now feuding with: Michael Jordan. The alpha of all alphas, whose ego had already been a blight upon Scottie’s publicly beta perception. Dragging both of these Hall of Famers — who are already both so incredibly image-conscious — into a soap opera unlike any we’ve seen before.

But that’s not all.

Because today, on Pablo Torre Finds Out, we also will do something few have. We will actually meet Marcus Jordan and Larsa Pippen, themselves, in order to find out the answer to the biggest, most pressing question in this insane story…

Is their love real?
