EPISODE 145: What if you let A.I. invade your life — on purpose?

I should acknowledge that last Thursday, September 5, Pablo Torre Finds Out celebrated its one-year anniversary. Our first birthday.

An important milestone that I completely forgot to communicate to you guys because I can be pretty bad at communicating meaningful updates to people that I care about. A recurring theme in my life, arguably — as the 146,789 unread emails in my inbox may or may not indicate.

But what a year it’s been:

Anyhow. It would help, logistically, if there were more than one of me.

So when I saw that a journalist and podcaster I really respect, Evan Ratliff, was experimenting with a solution to this problem that hadn’t been possible, until recently, I was almost desperately intrigued. Even though I have many hang-ups about artificial intelligence, which we’ve covered on this show before.

And even though the end of this episode amounts to a betrayal I won’t forget.
